SCARAMOOSE & KAT MARSH JOIN FORCES

An evening in the company of acoustic trio Scaramoose together with bluesy soul singer Kat Marsh in the intimate ambient setting of the B Bar is the heart-warming prospect on offer on Thursday.

Scaramoose, formerly known as The Subterraneans, have been getting about a bit, playing their chilled sun-kissed vibes far and wide. So it will be good to see them back in the city complete with new bass player, Funky Dave, for what will be their first gig here since September. What's more they'll be showcasing tracks from their new EP, due out early in the New Year.

Alongside their own project, Scaramoose – also John Gardner (guitar and vocals) and John Eschbaecher (drums) – have been acting as a session band for Ellie Williams who is signed up to Sellaband, a share system that provides funds for recording bands outside a record deal. So they've been recording at founder member of Jamiroquai Toby Smith's Angelic Union Studio in Buckinghamshire and finishing off here at Deep Blue Sound.

The trio have just secured a tour of Living Room venues which include dates in Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Oxford and London. It was at one of their favourite haunts in Bristol, Mr Wolf's that they met up with Kat Marsh and decided that it would be nice link up for a joint gig back in Plymouth.

An Evening Of Musical Entertainment With Scaramoose & Kat Marsh

In preparation for the bands November tour across many parts of the UK, Scaramoose are delighted to be showcasing a night of musical entertainment with the fantastic acoustic singer/guitarist Kat Marsh. This one off event will be held at the intimate B-Bar based in the heart of Plymouth's heritage, the Barbican.

Although Scaramoose have been performing across the country with their newly established Bassist 'Funky Dave', the show will be the first event in Plymouth for the bands new line-up since September. This gig will allow you a sneak preview of the highlights from the band's rehearsals for their latest and highly anticipated E.P, due Spring 09.

Introducing ’Funky Dave’ To Scaramoose

Hi All,

As many of you are aware, September 08 took a change to the bands line-up, with original bassist Clive sadly departing the group, Scaramoose have taken on a new dimension with the talented 'Funky Dave'.

Scaramoose have made a very special introductory video of 'Funky Dave' containing great content such bass gear, hobbies, and also initial rehearsal footage of the band preparing for their first tour with Dave around the UK .
